I just became legally older. I know I wasn’t born at midnight (Mom if you are reading you probably remember the exact time I was born… or maybe not?)
I am taking a break from working on the first Friday night conversation for LifePoint. It is late, but if you read my post ”Sleep Is Not an Option,” you understand what God is doing inside of me.
Today was an amazing day. Hal (one of my best friends from Fort Mill, SC) came to Aiken to design LifePoint’s logo. What Hal did was amazing. I thought I had an idea that I had prayed and felt good about, but Jesus grabbed ahold of Hal and showed me what He could do. The logo is based on what I was thinking, but it looks WAY better than I could have ever imagined (Hmmmm… God doing more than I could imagine… Jesus loves to show us what He is up to and He is ALWAYS way ahead of us. Hey here’s an idea: Let’s follow HIM!!!)
As I am writing Linkin Park’s ”Somewhere I Belong” just started playing. This song tears me up every time I hear it. The anger is raw and real and pure. Every time I hear it I think of that person who is far from Jesus. The man who is literally killing himself with guilt and self loathing. The woman who is beating herself up for mistakes she has made. The high school boy who is trying to be a man all the while dying inside because there isn’t anywhere for him to go and get help. The young woman who just wants someone to talk to to that she can trust, that won’t stab her in the back the minute she walks away.

Jesus is placing us here to be the place where everyone can feel they belong… that is of course unless you are “churchy.” I can say for certain, Jesus isn’t creating LifePoint to be “churchy.”
Lives are about to be changed!!!
