Do you like to be asked to volunteer? I mean if you are in a setting where volunteers are needed do you like to step forward and say, “Yes I want to volunteer.”

I was talking with Pastor Dave and his wife Ashley about Stevens Creek’s Christmas Eve Services. Over 1,800 people came and heard the Good News of Jesus!!! As we talked about how great it is that God is sending so many new people to The Creek, Ashley quite correctly said that we are going to need a lot more volunteers.

So do you like to volunteer?  I’ll admit it, I don’t like to “just volunteer.” That’s right, I said it.

I don’t like to volunteer just for the sake of volunteering. I want to be part of something bigger than me. If I “volunteer” my time I want to know that I am volunteering myself and my service to something that is going to change this world for the better.
