OK, I have it to say this, especially in light of the title of these posts:
THE CHURCH IS NOT FOR SALE!!!
The church has already been bought and paid for as Jesus endured the cross, the grave and defeated death for us all.
Retail customer service is hard. A retail salesman is trying to sell a product someone may or may not need… a product someone may or may not want… a product someone may or may not be able to afford.
Based on that criteria, church customer service should be easy. No one in the church is trying to sell anything. Everyone in the church needs Jesus. On some level, everyone in the church wants Jesus in their life. A relationship with Jesus monetarily costs nothing. So then why is the church having problems with customer service?
Go back to the first post in the series.
Great customer service comes from people. It doesn’t come from a store. It doesn’t come from marketing. It doesn’t come from a vision. It doesn’t come from a plan.
Great customer service comes from well trained, well equipped, confident, knowledgeable and passionate people.
Next week we will talk about the people who offer the very best in customer service.
