Last week I talked about about customer service as it pertains to the church. This week I am going to talk about how a church can provide unbelievable customer service… something I call The WOW Factor.
The WOW Factor is all about people. The WOW Factor is about people in the church leading its members, visitors and guests to say, “WOW, this church really cares about me.”
The WOW Factor Steps:
- Be Nice
The first step in The WOW Factor is to BE NICE!
“Be Nice,” doesn’t mean we just say hello to everyone who walks in the door and good-bye when they leave. I am talking about OVER-THE-TOP, going out of our way, bordering on obsession, to make sure everyone who sets foot on church property feels like a VIP. Imagine if every person who came to the church was treated as if they were the President of The United States?
The WOW Factor requires total church “buy-in.” From the head to the toe. From the Pastor to the custodian (sometimes those are one in the same). Remember The WOW Factor is all about people. If just one person doesn’t “buy-in” The WOW Factor doesn’t work.
Before moving on to Step 2, Step 1 must have total team buy-in.
