This is a quick of the cuff, Twitter-like post:
- in f you don’t know, aplusk is Ashton Kutcher’s Twitter name
- As I got ready this morning I watched a video link Ashton Kutcher put on Twitter (www.twitter.com/aplusk). He and CNN have been in a race to see who could reach 1 million Twitter followers first. Last night Ashton Kutcher won. It was funny to see how excited he was about something apparently so trivial
- Kutcher is using social networking to be a social activist. He tied the Twitter race to helping stop the spread of malaria. Kutcher is coming out of his own pocket for 11,000 malaria nets in Africa.
- Driving to have breakfast in Evans, GA this morning I saw a video billboard advertising for people to follow Ashton Kutcher on Twitter. I think he is serious about this Twitter thing.
- Ashton Kutcher and his wife Demi Moore have lots and lots of money so they can do something like this… but even in this economy there are lot and lots of people that have money that are not doing things like this.
- I do not have lots and lots of money, but what can I do to help change the world?
- During the video I watched this morning, Kutcher and his friends and family are huddled around a computer screen. SOmeone says they need to get people to create more Twitter accounts to make sure they win, Ashton, Kutcher says, “This isn’t about winning, this about a a revolution. ” I hope he was honest because that was inspiring to me.
- If we all set down our will need to wind, I think we would all see somethng amazing happen!
- If we would sacrifice the need to be right all the time, if we would die for the better good…
