For whatever reason, too many of us choose not to encourage others.

Sometimes we might think people are crazy so we choose not to encourage them. Sometimes we might think that someone is not qualified so we choose not to encourage them. Sometimes we might be jealous of someone’s passion, their faith, their zeal for life, so we choose not to encourage them. 

Many times when we choose not to encourage, we actually take another step and we choose to discourage.

The world tries to beat us down and seemingly attempts to discourage us at every other turn, so…

Why don’t we start a new trend? Why don’t we start a new trend and believe in our friends and encourage them to do crazy insane things for Jesus Christ? Why don’t we start a new trend and believe in our families and encourage each family member to not just pray about their dreams, but encourage them to sprint after those dreams? Why don’t we start a new trend and believe in our communities and encourage community members to step up and make a difference?

It is easy to tear down with discouragement, but why don’t we build up with encouragement?
