I have lost 16 pounds in two weeks!!! …but a more encouraging way for me to share my weight loss is that I am over 15% of the way to my ultimate goal of losing 105 pounds!!! I am over 22% of the way to my minimum goal of losing 70 pounds!!!
I am excited. I acknowledge that this is a pretty substantial weight loss in only two weeks, but I have to keep in mind is that I WEIGHED 339 FREAKIN’ POUNDS WHEN I STARTED!!! It is easier to lose weight when you have plenty to lose.
A lot of people are asking me how I am doing it? Up to this point I have lost it all with diet, I have not exercised… yet. I have limited myself to 2000 calories a day and I do not eat anything after 7:00 pm.
My normal menu in a day is this:
BREAKFAST: 2 scrambled eggs with hot sauce (prepared in the microwave with olive oil as the non stick coating for the bowl)
MID MORNING SNACK: I rarely eat a mid morning snack, but when I have it has been a bannana
LUNCH: 2 Lean Pockets
MID AFTERNOON SNACK: I get hungry between 3:00 and 4:00. I like Keeblers Right Bites 100 Calorie Grasshoppers. They remind me of Girl Scout Thin Mints. I also like Keeblers Right Bites 100 Calorie Chips Ahoy.
DINNER: I eat a normal dinner. When it is dinner time I still have 1100 calories left for the day. Going into this weight loss, I promised myself and my family that I would not force my new eating habits on them. So if we are eating pizza, I eat 1000 to 1100 calories. If we are having chicken, I eat 1000 to 1100 calories. If we are having hamburgers and chips… I think you get the idea.
ALL DAY: This is not a joke. This is not a typo. I literally drink at least 2 gallons of water a day. I refill plastic “bottled water” bottles (16.9 ounces a bottle), keep them in my refrigerator, and drink at least 15 of them a day. Yes, in case you were wondering, I need to know where the nearest restroom is at all times. (btw… I only drink water… no coffee… no Diet Pepsi… no Coke… I drink nothing but water)
